Avenue Supermarts allotted commercial paper worth ₹300 crore on 8 September, maturing in early December. The unsecured paper carries a 6.4 percent coupon and holds an ICRA A1+ rating, according to exchange filings and market reports.
The company raised ₹300 crore through the fresh commercial paper issue dated around 8-9 September. Funds are earmarked for ongoing retail expansion needs.
On the shop floor this keeps new DMart boxes opening on schedule; a typical large-format store still relies on private-label mix and high inventory turns to protect the everyday-low-price model against rising competition.
Avenue Supermarts allotted ₹300 crore commercial paper at 6.4 percent.
The raise helps the chain maintain physical density even as quick-commerce platforms pressure metro like-for-like numbers. It also signals continued access to cheap short-term paper despite sector noise.
Next watch is the September-quarter trading window closure already notified and any update on store additions or DMart Ready city count in the coming results.
