Platforms rewrite taglines after labour ministry flags rider safety and stress risks.

Blinkit and Zepto have begun rolling back 10-minute delivery messaging following talks with the Union labour ministry. Blinkit changed its line from “10,000+ products delivered in 10 minutes” to “30,000+ products delivered at your doorstep.” Zepto agreed to withdraw the 10-minute claim. The shift follows a meeting that also included Zomato and Swiggy executives.
The change surfaced on 11 October 2026 after officials cautioned that ultra-fast branding could push unsafe riding. Both platforms called the move voluntary and aimed at better working conditions for delivery partners.
On the dark-store floor this eases the stopwatch pressure on packers and riders during peak evening slots. A rider in a metro now has clearer room to refuse a risky shortcut without fearing the app timer.
Blinkit tagline now reads doorstep delivery of 30,000-plus products, no minutes attached.
The rollback helps traditional kiranas and slower grocery apps that never promised minutes. It also levels the marketing field for Amazon and Flipkart’s own quick-commerce arms that were already scaling dark stores.
Watch for similar language changes from Instamart and any formal labour code updates before the next festive rush.
