Carrefour opened its first India store in years, a 50,000 square foot hypermarket at H&S Mall in Greater Noida in early September 2026 under a franchise with Dubai-based Apparel Group. It plans about 50 stores across NCR and Uttar Pradesh over three to four years before wider rollout.
The outlet carries roughly 50,000 SKUs across hypermarket format and reported stronger-than-expected early sales. Soft opening began mid-August; full launch followed.

The move pressures local value chains like DMart and Vishal in NCR while giving Apparel Group a fresh grocery anchor. It helps mall landlords seeking footfall anchors beyond fashion.
Watch the next three store openings in NCR this festive quarter and any quick-commerce pilot once the cluster densifies.
