Avenue Supermarts reported standalone revenue from operations of ₹19,206.18 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, up 18.4% year-on-year from ₹16,218.79 crore. The DMart operator closed the period with 518 stores, including one under reconstruction in Sanpada, Navi Mumbai. Sequential revenue rose 4.7% from the June quarter’s ₹18,343.49 crore, per the regulatory update filed over the weekend.

The filing confirms the chain’s steady footprint build even as one outlet remains shut for rebuild. Revenue growth held in the high teens despite competition from quick-commerce dark stores in metros.

On the shop floor this means denser assortment and sharper private-label pricing that forces neighbouring kiranas to match or lose basket share on staples and personal care. Till throughput in high-footfall DMarts continues to set the local price benchmark.

The Radhakishan Damani-led retailer had 518 stores as of September 30.

The update squeezes pure-play value formats and smaller regional chains that lack DMart’s buying scale. It helps suppliers locked into long-term volume contracts with the retailer.

Watch the full Q2 results and any festive inventory commentary in the coming weeks, plus store-addition pace into Diwali.
