Fabletics opened its first India store at DLF Promenade in New Delhi on 29-30 September in exclusive partnership with Reliance Brands. The format features RFID-enabled fitting rooms that auto-identify garments and suggest sizes via in-room tablets. A Mumbai store is next. The range covers men’s and women’s leggings, bras, joggers and accessories aimed at performance-to-street wear.
Fabletics and Reliance Brands launched the mono-brand door at DLF Promenade with RFID trial rooms and experience zones including balance boards and smoothie stations. The assortment spans training and everyday activewear for both genders.
Shop-floor staff now handle higher trial conversion without leaving the fitting room; a single tablet request can pull alternate sizes from stock, cutting walk-outs that plague standard athleisure counters in malls.
RFID fitting rooms turn trial into conversion without staff running the floor.
The tie-up squeezes pure-play D2C activewear sellers and local gym brands on premium mall real estate while giving Reliance Brands another global label alongside its existing lifestyle portfolio. It also pressures Decathlon and local sports chains on fashion-led performance.
Watch the Mumbai opening and any festive inventory refresh before Diwali; further city roll-out will show whether the tech format scales beyond two metros.
