Flipkart Minutes has entered the gourmet grocery segment and launched its private label Pykd, offering namkeen, chips and other snacks alongside cheese, wood-pressed oils, specialty coffee and chocolates. The move, reported around 25 September 2026, mirrors rivals Blinkit Gourmet and Zepto Select as platforms chase higher average order values.

Minutes is stocking premium SKUs such as kombucha, boba, ramen and ghee while rolling out Pykd as an in-house brand for everyday snacks. The assortment sits inside existing micro-fulfilment centres that already number near 1,200 across more than 150 cities.

A dark-store picker now pulls higher-margin private-label packs instead of only third-party staples, lifting contribution per order without extra rider kilometres. Shoppers see the Pykd packs at the till or app checkout beside imported cheese.

Private labels give platforms control over pricing, sourcing and margins on higher-value baskets.

The launch pressures Blinkit and Instamart on the same premium aisle while giving Flipkart better pricing control and sourcing leverage. It also helps offset pure grocery discounting that has moderated industry-wide.

Track festive-season basket data and any expansion of Pykd SKUs in the next earnings or marketplace update before Big Billion Days spillover.
