Rights issue capital strengthens the fully-owned subsidiary as the jewellery major readies festive and wedding inventory.

Kalyan Jewellers has infused ₹350 crore into its wholly-owned subsidiary Kandere Lifestyle through a rights issue. The capital injection was noted in market updates on 21 September as the group prepares for the peak jewellery season.
Kalyan channelled ₹350 crore via rights into Kandere Lifestyle, its full subsidiary. The move bolsters the unit’s balance sheet ahead of heavy festive and wedding buying cycles that drive gold and diamond offtake.
Showroom tills and inventory planners at Kalyan’s large-format stores gain firmer working-capital cover for bulk gold bookings and diamond set-outs. A stronger subsidiary reduces the risk of stock-outs at the counter during the high-footfall window.
₹350 crore rights issue lands in Kandere Lifestyle.
The cheque helps Kalyan’s own retail network while it squeezes smaller regional jewellers who lack similar parent backing for festive stocking. It also signals continued investment in lifestyle adjacencies beyond core gold.
Watch the next quarterly filing for utilisation details and any fresh store or franchise announcements timed to the October-November wedding cluster.
