Lenskart will open its IPO on 31 October to raise about ₹2,150 crore via fresh issue and offer for sale, with listing targeted around 10 November. Pre-IPO money already includes roughly ₹90 crore from the Damani family and ₹100 crore from SBI Mutual Fund.
The DRHP outlines use of proceeds for store expansion, technology upgrades and marketing. Cofounder Neha Bansal’s secondary sale fed part of the pre-IPO round at ₹402 a share.
Eyewear retailers care because fresh capital funds denser store grids and faster lens labs, cutting wait times at the fitting counter. A Gurugram dark-store style lab can now feed more high-street doors without stock-outs.

The raise helps Lenskart pull ahead of pure-play optical chains and squeezes smaller franchise opticians on price and assortment. Titan Eye+ and local players face sharper competition on both metro and tier-2 high streets.
