India’s six major quick-commerce platforms together processed about 9.1 million orders a day in the latest August industry data, putting the category on track for roughly 273-299 million orders in a 30-day month.

Blinkit held the top spot with 3.4-3.6 million daily orders. Zepto followed at 2.4-2.6 million, widening its lead over Swiggy Instamart’s 1.3-1.45 million. Flipkart Minutes contributed 900,000-1 million, Amazon Now 600,000-700,000 and BigBasket 500,000-600,000.

The milestone arrives as players push beyond pure groceries into higher-AOV categories, larger baskets and capacity additions before the festive period. Top three still command nearly four-fifths of volume, but the newer entrants are no longer rounding errors.

Blinkit remained the market leader with 3.4 million-3.6 million daily orders.

Network expansion continues: Flipkart Minutes has crossed 1,000 micro-fulfilment centres across 130-plus cities and is targeting 1,500. Amazon Now is extending toward 300 cities with larger urban fulfilment centres that stock apparel and electronics alongside staples.

Profitability pressure remains. Discounting has stayed relatively disciplined so far compared with earlier marketplace wars, yet capital access and execution will decide who absorbs the next round of dark-store and last-mile costs.
