Second Luxottica deal after Sunglass Hut puts premium optical floors in key NCR malls and lifts high-street rents for independents.

Reliance Brands has acquired the India operations of LensCrafters from DLF Brands on 10 September 2026. The deal transfers the prescription eyewear chain’s stores, including outlets at DLF Mall of India in Noida and DLF Avenue in Saket, marking the second Luxottica brand buy after Sunglass Hut in 2022.
Reliance Brands takes full ownership of the LensCrafters India franchise previously run by DLF Brands. The stores stock Ray-Ban, Oakley, Versace, Coach, Michael Kors and Prada frames in high-footfall NCR malls that opened the brand’s India presence in 2020.
Shop-floor impact hits the optical till first. A premium frame sale now routes through Reliance’s inventory and loyalty stack instead of an independent franchisee, tightening working-capital cycles for nearby multi-brand opticians who compete on the same high-street rents.
Second Luxottica buy hands Reliance premium optical stores in key NCR malls.
The move squeezes standalone optical retailers in Saket and Noida while helping Reliance Retail deepen its premium accessories mix alongside Titan and Lenskart. It also gives Luxottica a deeper distribution partner already running Sunglass Hut.
Watch the next festive window and any filing on store count or further Kiko Milano talks. Diwali traffic will show whether the acquired floors convert at Reliance’s private-label margins.
