Reliance Retail formalised an exclusive partnership with US athleisure label Fabletics to bring the membership model into India. The deal taps Reliance’s network of over 18,000 stores and targets urban athletes in metros. Fabletics aims for meaningful early revenue while the domestic sports apparel segment holds a double-digit CAGR.

The exclusive tie-up gives Fabletics access to Reliance’s vast physical and digital footprint for its membership-driven activewear. Focus starts with Mumbai and Bengaluru shoppers seeking premium women’s athleisure. The brand has set an early local revenue ambition inside its first full year of backed operations.

A sportswear till or shop-in-shop that previously stocked only mass leggings now faces a membership offer with frequent drops. Riders and dark-store staff will pick more high-velocity active sets during morning and evening peaks, lifting category density without extra real estate.

Reliance’s omni-channel infrastructure spanning over 18,000 stores will introduce Fabletics’ membership model.

The pact strengthens Reliance’s fashion premiumisation against pure D2C active brands and Decathlon’s broader assortment. It also gives Fabletics a faster India ramp than standalone store builds while pressuring other international labels still hunting distribution.

Watch store-level rollouts and any membership conversion numbers through the festive and New Year fitness window for early traction signals.
