Quick-commerce platform Rio Health on 24 September raised $4.5 million in a pre-Series A led by Version One Ventures. The capital will expand its Delhi-NCR dark-store count from three to more than 15 and aim for an annual run rate above ₹150 crore.

The raise comes as the platform focuses on health and grocery hyperlocal delivery in the capital region. Fresh capital funds inventory, riders and tech for denser coverage.

A dark-store picker in Gurgaon now works a tighter SKU set with higher order density; riders cover shorter radii and hit sub-30-minute SLAs more often. Shoppers in new pin codes get pharmacy and staples without the big-app wait.

Plans to expand its Delhi-NCR network from three to over 15 dark stores.

The expansion nibbles at Blinkit, Zepto and Instamart share in NCR while giving smaller health-focused players a funding signal. It also pressures traditional chemists on speed.

Watch store openings through the festive quarter and any city expansion beyond NCR once the run-rate target is tested.
