Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s label will enter fragrances within 18 months, plus footwear and small leather goods, while scaling eyewear, the founder said on 22 August 2026. The house reported ₹650 crore revenue in FY26, with jewellery at 33 per cent or about ₹200 crore and accessories set to cross ₹100 crore.
New categories aim to increase purchase frequency without diluting craft standards. Small leather goods such as wallets target gifting; footwear will follow fragrances. Eyewear, already in the language via earlier collaboration, is being built into a larger in-house line.
Retailers and multi-brand stores gain fresh high-margin Indian luxury SKUs for festive gifting tables. The Calcutta manufacturing upgrade supports capacity while some products will use global ateliers. Middle East demand is rising alongside domestic stores in six cities including New York.
The ambition has always been to build India's first global luxury lifestyle brand.
The move helps the brand compete with global lifestyle houses on completeness and pressures pure couture or jewellery-only Indian labels to broaden. International ready-to-wear is also being developed from a distinct Calcutta viewpoint rather than imitation.
First fragrance launch is slated inside 18 months; track accessory run-rate through the wedding season and any new city or exhibition roll-outs before permanent stores.
