D2C sustainable fashion brand shifts harder offline with simultaneous launches in Surat, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad.

Virgio on 22 October launched five new stores at once in Surat, Mumbai (Malad and Navi Mumbai), Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, moving the sustainable apparel D2C label deeper into physical retail. The openings sit inside high-traffic malls and mark a clear omnichannel push after an online-first start.
The brand is pairing the stores with its Beyond The Curve size-inclusive line and a new fragrance range to build longer dwell time. Organised retail recovery and mall footfall recovery are the stated backdrop for the blitz.
A mall retailer next door now competes for the same conscious Gen-Z shopper who previously only clicked; trial rooms and immediate gratification cut return rates that plague pure D2C. Store staff become the new brand ambassadors.
Five stores opened simultaneously as Virgio builds its omnichannel footprint.
Larger value players such as Zudio and Trent formats face another niche entrant chasing the same young wallet; pure online peers lose the experiential edge. Landlords gain another credit-worthy D2C tenant.
Watch festive sell-through in the new doors and any further city announcements before year-end for the real pace of the offline shift.
