Blinkit on 23 October listed the iPhone Duo exclusively for Delhi NCR customers from 8:15 AM; the entire stock sold out within five minutes. Founder Albinder Dhindsa confirmed the sell-out on X and said fresh units are being arranged for coming weeks. No unit count was disclosed.
The drop was limited to the NCR catchment where Blinkit already delivers Apple products. Demand cleared inventory before most office commutes began. The platform has not said when other cities will see the next batch.
A dark-store picker in Gurgaon or Noida handled a surge of high-value electronics orders in a single slot, raising the morning AOV and testing cold-chain and security protocols for premium handsets. Riders completed short high-ticket runs that improve contribution per delivery.
All units were sold out within five minutes of the 8:15 AM Delhi NCR launch.
Croma, Reliance Digital and Amazon’s electronics lanes lose the impulse premium buyer who wants sub-30-minute delivery. Apple’s own channels face pressure to widen quick-commerce allocation. Competing q-com apps must secure similar exclusives or watch share slip on launch days.
Next batch timing and city expansion will matter before the main festive window closes in mid-November. Any repeat sell-out will lock Blinkit’s position as the default launch partner for high-demand gadgets.
