Zudio and Westside growth plus supply chain cited; value fashion keeps taking share.

BofA Securities on 30 September initiated coverage on Trent with a Buy rating and ₹3,075 price target. The note flagged the differentiated retail model, Zudio and Westside expansion, integrated technology and supply-chain strength as long-term market-share drivers.
Trent’s value format Zudio has already crossed the 1,000-store mark across more than 300 cities, with most recent openings in tier-2 and tier-3 towns. Weekly inventory refresh and sub-₹999 pricing remain the core engine.
Merchants feel it at the till: fast turns mean less markdown and higher private-label mix. A Zudio floor in a smaller city can clear fresh drops every week while older multi-brand stores sit on slower stock.
BofA sets ₹3,075 target on Zudio-Westside model.
The coverage helps Trent versus Reliance Trends, V-Mart and Shoppers Stop’s Intune on both capital access and narrative. Pure department stores without a sharp value arm look more exposed.
Watch festive sell-through numbers and any fresh store-addition guidance in the coming quarter results cycle.
