Avenue Supermarts on 3 October reported standalone revenue from operations of ₹19,206.18 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, up 18.4 per cent from ₹16,218.79 crore a year earlier and 4.7 per cent sequentially. Store count stood at 518, including the Sanpada unit under reconstruction.
The Damani-promoted chain posted the update via exchange filing ahead of the board meeting set for 10 October to clear unaudited Q2 and H1 numbers. Revenue growth tracked footfalls in core markets of Maharashtra, Gujarat and the South.
Shop-floor maths stays simple: higher throughput at existing boxes plus a handful of new doors keeps private-label and staples moving without heavy discounting. A Navi Mumbai till that once cleared 1,200 bills a day now clears more as reconstruction caps one site.
Standalone revenue hit ₹19,206 crore with 518 stores on the board.
The print squeezes smaller multi-brand grocers and local kiranas on price-sensitive baskets while giving quick-commerce dark stores less room on staples. Reliance Retail and Vishal face the same EDLP pressure in overlapping catchments.
Watch the 10 October filing for same-store sales and any fresh capex signal before the festive window opens later this month.
