India’s festive e-commerce sales dropped 7-10% year-on-year to about ₹30,000 crore in the first four days, according to early trackers. Higher prices on smartphones and laptops weighed on electronics while fashion and other categories kept order volumes steadier. Platforms still reported strong traffic from smaller towns.

Festive e-commerce GMV slipped roughly 10% to ₹30,000 crore across the opening four days as elevated electronics prices cooled big-ticket buys. Fashion and daily categories offset some of the drag and sustained order counts.

Marketplace sellers now face tighter conversion on high-ASP gadgets; a single delayed smartphone dispatch at a fulfilment centre hurts more when the ticket is larger and discounts thinner. Smaller-town shoppers still drove traffic spikes.

Electronics prices dragged festive e-com sales down about 10% early on.

The softness pressures pure electronics specialists and private-label pushes on Amazon and Flipkart while giving apparel pure-plays relative breathing room. Quick-commerce sidecars saw volume jumps on smaller baskets.
