India’s festive e-commerce season is projected to deliver healthy spending growth with quick commerce expanding beyond groceries, according to reports dated 6-7 September 2026. Fynd data showed pre-Navratri D2C volumes already 16% higher year-on-year, while full Diwali D2C GMV is expected to rise 35-40%.

Quick commerce and D2C platforms are set for a strong festive window as premium purchases sit alongside bargain hunting; Infisum sees the overall e-commerce market path to $345 billion by 2030 at 18% CAGR, with Tier-II/III driving 66% of new D2C orders.

A Blinkit or Zepto rider now carries larger non-grocery festive SKUs—diyas to apparel—raising drop density per dark store and improving unit economics on the same pin-code grid that once handled only milk and bread.

Pre-Navratri D2C orders already up 16% with Diwali GMV eyed at 35-40% growth.

The shift helps marketplace sellers on Flipkart and Amazon who list exclusive festive drops but squeezes pure offline ethnic wear stores that lack quick-delivery tie-ups. Meesho’s value play also gains from the earlier demand curve.

Monitor the first week of Navratri order spikes and any platform filings on dark-store additions before the main Diwali week.
