Flipkart’s Ekart expanded warehousing by 14 million cubic feet and extended delivery to more than 750 new PIN codes in late September. Overall storage capacity rose 50 percent nationwide while automation lifted peak processing capacity by more than 30 percent. The move prepares the network for the festive season and Big Billion Days.

Ekart added the cubic footage and PIN codes in a single pre-festive push, raising national storage half again and peak throughput over 30 percent through tech and automation upgrades.

Dark-store and hub managers now clear higher order volumes without overtime spikes; a single additional PIN cluster can keep same-day promises alive for tier-2 shoppers who previously waited two days.

50 percent more storage and 750 new PINs reset festive SLA expectations.

The capacity helps Flipkart Minutes compete with Blinkit and Zepto on reach while pressuring smaller 3PLs and regional courier fleets that lack automated sortation. Marketplace sellers gain faster SLA compliance.

Track fill rates and delivery promise adherence through the first week of Big Billion Days and any further PIN announcements before Diwali peak.
