Lenskart launched its first concept flagship, Lenskart evolv, in Mumbai’s Worli on 26 October at Trade View Utopia City. The store features chrome finishes, AI-assisted testing, remote optometrist links and a digital shopping assistant. Chairman Peyush Bansal inaugurated the outlet as the blueprint for a limited set of future concept stores.
The Worli flagship opened as Lenskart’s first evolv format, pairing technology with fashion-led interiors. It aims to turn eyewear selection into an immersive style experience rather than pure functional purchase. The company has been adding stores rapidly, including 455 net new outlets in a recent stretch.
Opticians and floor staff at conventional stores now face shoppers expecting AI try-ons and connected consultations. A customer walking in for a basic frame can leave with a full digital profile that follows them online.
Lenskart evolv reimagines traditional eyewear retail, bringing together design, technology, fashion and culture.
The move pressures smaller optical chains on experience while helping Lenskart defend premium share against international eyewear players. It also supports higher average selling prices in metro catchments.
Watch rollout of additional evolv stores and the next festive campaign window for conversion data from the concept format.
