FSN E-Commerce Ventures, operator of Nykaa, posted net profit of ₹101 crore in the September quarter, a 207% jump from ₹33 crore a year earlier. Consolidated revenue grew 28% to ₹3,006 crore while operating EBITDA rose 65% to ₹263 crore, lifting margins nearly 200 basis points. Fashion retail outlets crossed 200 as the company approved an 82% stake buy in clean beauty label Simply Nam.
Core beauty held momentum and fashion losses narrowed through better full-price sell-through and higher average order values. The physical network expansion targets tier-2 and tier-3 discretionary spend ahead of the festive peak.
For a beauty counter or dark-store picker the stake is clearer assortment and faster replenishment that cuts stock-outs during high-intent Diwali traffic. One extra door in a mall can shift weekly GMV enough to justify the rent line.
Nykaa’s profit jump shows omnichannel finally paying after years of store build.
The move helps Nykaa defend against pure quick-commerce beauty drops and global fast-fashion discounters. It pressures smaller D2C labels still heavy on marketplace fees and pure-play apparel platforms fighting the same inventory drag.
Next watch is Simply Nam integration progress and Q3 festive GMV commentary in the coming weeks, plus any further inorganic deals before year-end.
