Trent reported standalone revenue from operations of ₹5,788 crore for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, up 23% from ₹4,724 crore a year earlier. The Tata retailer opened its 1,000th Zudio store in the period and ended with 1,342 outlets across Westside, Zudio and other lifestyle brands. Net additions were 10 Westside and 17 Zudio stores in Q2; H1 revenue rose 21% to ₹11,454 crore.
Trent’s exchange update on 5 October confirmed the 1,000th Zudio opening and the ₹5,788 crore Q2 top line, with merchandise sales also up 23%. H1 store adds stood at 11 Westside and 36 Zudio on a net basis.
Shop-floor impact shows in smaller cities where a new Zudio pulls traffic from local multi-brand outlets and forces kirana-adjacent apparel sellers to match price points on basics. Till productivity and inventory turns become the daily metric as density rises.
Zudio crossed 1,000 stores while Trent revenue rose 23% even with the festive calendar shift.
The push squeezes other value players such as Reliance Trends, V-Mart and Vishal while helping landlords fill larger formats. Premium chains feel less direct heat but lose some aspirational footfall.
Watch same-store sales and revenue per square foot in the festive December quarter filing, plus any further city entries before Diwali.
