Trent reported standalone revenue from operations of ₹5,666 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2026, up 19 per cent year-on-year. Profit after tax rose 26 per cent to ₹532 crore. The company added one Westside and 19 Zudio stores in the period, taking the total network past 1,300 outlets including lifestyle formats.

Merchandise sales drove the bulk of the gain. Zudio remained the primary expansion engine while Westside held the higher-ticket fashion role. Store count at end-June stood at 301 Westside, nearly 1,000 Zudio and a handful of other concepts.

On the P&L the faster Zudio boxes deliver quicker payback, letting Trent fund further opens without heavy discounting. A store manager in a Tier-III mall sees steadier daily footfall from the value assortment than from pure premium floors.

Trent’s 19 per cent rise shows volume fashion still pays even when urban spend wobbles.

The numbers put pressure on Aditya Birla Lifestyle and Shoppers Stop to defend their own value and premium mixes. They also reassure landlords that Trent will keep taking space in emerging catchments.

Next catalyst is the festive quarter trading update and any guidance on remaining FY27 store targets. Margin trends under higher lease and staff costs will be watched closely.
