Trent Ltd’s Zudio crossed the 1,000-store mark in India during the September quarter, the company confirmed in its Q2 update. The value-fashion brand now spans more than 300 cities after adding stores heavily in tier-2 and tier-3 markets. Trent’s total network reached 1,342 stores including Westside by end-September, with Q2 standalone revenue up 23% to ₹5,788 crore.

Zudio opened its 1,000th outlet in Q2 FY27 after net additions of 17 stores in the quarter and a multi-year run that took it from a few hundred to four-digit scale. More than 80% of recent openings landed in smaller cities and peripheral markets where capital per store stays lower.

Shop-floor managers at competing value formats now face denser price competition under ₹999. A till at a neighbourhood apparel store sees faster inventory turns on basics but tighter margins if footfall splits across more Zudio boxes within the same catchment.

Zudio crossed 1,000 stores with heavy tier-2 and tier-3 openings.

The milestone helps Trent lock private-label share and squeezes Reliance Yousta, ABFRL Style Up and regional chains on real estate and talent in the same towns. It also supports higher overall Trent productivity as Westside additions continue at a measured pace.

Watch the next quarterly store count and same-store growth numbers after the festive season for whether the 1,000-plus base sustains double-digit revenue growth without margin dilution.
