Eternal raised Blinkit’s dark-store target to 3,500 by March 2027 from 3,000 earlier, after ending September with 2,751 outlets. The company added 308 stores in the July-September quarter. Blinkit drove most of Eternal’s 77.6% revenue jump to ₹24,138 crore while posting positive adjusted Ebitda.
Eternal confirmed the higher 3,500-store goal for Blinkit by end-FY27 and flagged 5,000 by March 2028. Net order value for the quick-commerce arm rose 79.3% year-on-year to ₹20,940 crore. Adjusted Ebitda turned positive at ₹184 crore with margin at 0.9% of NOV.
Dark-store density now decides rider drop density and fill rates in Tier-2 catchments. A single extra store in a smaller city shortens the last mile and lifts order frequency for the same inventory pool.
Eternal lifted Blinkit’s target to 3,500 dark stores by March 2027 after reaching 2,751.
The move squeezes Swiggy Instamart and Zepto on real-estate and talent costs while giving kiranas near Blinkit hubs fresher competition on staples and personal care. Reliance’s own dark-store build faces a faster rival pace.
Watch the December-quarter store adds and festive NOV print. Any slip in payback periods in new cities will show in the next filing.
