Flipkart’s Big Billion Days opener drew 6.3 million concurrent users in the first hour and a fresh daily-active-user high, according to a Bank of America note based on Sensor Tower data published 20-21 October. New customers rose 34 per cent; non-metros drove about 60 per cent of demand in the early festive window that runs to 15 November.

Daily active users on Flipkart rose sharply in the first six days versus September. Myntra monthly actives reached about 93 million, up 8 per cent year-on-year, while Nykaa Fashion hit roughly 17 million MAUs, up 24 per cent.

A Tier-3 shopper now clears the cart on the phone instead of waiting for the weekly bazaar trip; the local electronics or apparel reseller loses that impulse sale unless he matches the platform deal on WhatsApp. Warehouse and last-mile teams run peak shifts earlier than last year.

Non-metros accounted for about 60 per cent of early festive demand on Flipkart.

Quick-commerce platforms saw little festive lift in daily usage—Blinkit MAUs were already up 53 per cent to 58 million in September—while horizontal marketplaces captured the big-ticket and fashion baskets. Amazon and Meesho face the same small-town traffic fight.

Track conversion and average order value through Diwali week and the 15 November close for signs that discounting stayed rational.
