Nykaa has opened its 175th store, a 2,500 sq ft two-floor Luxe format in Mumbai’s Bandra, adding exclusive brands and skin-analysis tech to the offline network. The launch extends the beauty platform’s push to convert online discovery into higher-ticket experiential sales. It lands as festive gifting demand accelerates in metro catchments.
The Bandra Luxe store is the latest in Nykaa’s rapid offline build and features curated prestige lines plus in-store skin analysers on two floors. The format aims to differentiate from mass beauty counters and pure online carts.
At the till the analyser and exclusive drops encourage trial and up-sell that a dark-store or kirana shelf cannot match. A shopper who tests foundation shade in person is less likely to return the full-size bottle, protecting margins on premium SKUs.
The format aims to differentiate from mass beauty counters and pure online carts.
The store helps Nykaa defend share against salon chains and department-store beauty halls while pressuring pure-play D2C brands that lack physical trial points. It also gives marketplace sellers a high-street showcase for exclusive drops.
Watch conversion data from the Bandra unit through the Diwali gifting window and any update on the 175-store milestone in the next earnings call.
