Trent Ltd’s Zudio has crossed the 1,000-store mark in India, adding outlets rapidly after ending March 2026 with 963 stores across 310 cities. More than 80 per cent of FY26 additions landed in Tier-II, Tier-III and peripheral markets. Q1 FY27 standalone revenue rose 19 per cent to ₹5,666 crore, with Zudio driving most net store gains.
Zudio now operates beyond 1,000 locations after 22 openings in the June quarter alone, including one in the UAE. The format sticks to sub-₹999 price points and weekly inventory refresh, serving over 100 million customers since 2016 launch.
Shop-floor impact shows in high-velocity turns under 15 days and full-price sell-through near 90 per cent via RFID. A typical dark-store or mall till sees faster basket turns than multi-brand peers still clearing seasonal stock.
More than 80 per cent of new Zudio outlets opened in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.
The push squeezes V-Mart, Reliance’s Yousta and Shoppers Stop’s Intune on the same ₹199-999 band while helping Trent’s overall fashion footprint past 1,300 stores. Westside stays at roughly 300 outlets with slower adds.
Watch the festive window through Diwali for same-store sales recovery targets of 11-13 per cent and any update on the long-term 5,000-store ambition in the next quarterly filing.
