Tata-owned Trent reported a 23% year-on-year rise in Q2FY27 standalone revenue to ₹5,788 crore. The company crossed the 1,000-store mark for Zudio during the quarter and added 17 Zudio plus 10 Westside stores. Like-for-like growth remains modest but store expansion stays on track across metros and smaller cities. Shares reacted positively to the business update.
Trent’s Q2 standalone revenue reached ₹5,788 crore, up 23%. Zudio crossed 1,000 stores. The quarter saw 17 new Zudio and 10 Westside openings. Network now spans hundreds of cities with private-label focus and sharp price points.
On the shop floor the model works because throughput in newer non-metro stores still covers low fit-out and sourcing costs. A Zudio till rings higher volume on ₹199-₹999 tickets than many department formats, keeping inventory turns healthy even when like-for-like softens.
Zudio crossed 1,000 stores while revenue rose 23% in the quarter.
The pace squeezes Reliance’s Yousta and Aditya Birla’s Style Up or OWND! as all three chase the same 16-25 value shopper. It also pressures pure online fashion players that lack dense physical reach in tier-2 clusters.
Watch the next store-count update and festive like-for-like numbers through Diwali. Any margin commentary in the full results filing will show whether newer doors dilute productivity or hold the line.
