Trent opened its 1,000th Zudio store in the July-September quarter and reported standalone revenue of ₹5,788 crore, up 23% year-on-year. H1 revenue reached ₹11,454 crore, a 21% rise. Net additions totalled 17 Zudio and 10 Westside outlets, taking the full portfolio to 1,342 stores by 30 September 2026.

Trent’s value chain hit the four-figure mark during Q2 FY27 while merchandise sales also grew 23%. The company added 36 Zudio stores in the first half and kept Westside expansion steady at 11 net new doors.

Shop-floor managers in smaller cities now stock faster-turn private labels to defend ticket sizes against local discounters. A single Zudio till in a tier-2 mall can clear 200 units on a weekend if the refresh lands before the festive rush.

Zudio crossed 1,000 stores with 17 net additions in the quarter alone.

The pace squeezes pure-play value rivals and forces DMart and Reliance Fashion to match price points on basics. It helps landlords filling vacant mid-size boxes outside metros.

Watch the December festive window and the full Q2 filing for like-for-like trends and any margin comment on the 1,000-store base.
