Trent Limited said on 11 September that its Zudio value-fashion chain has crossed 1,000 stores across India. The format now spans around 300 cities and reaches a reported 100 million customers, cementing its role as the group’s mass-market growth engine.
Zudio’s store count passed the 1,000 mark, the company update confirmed, after steady additions through FY26 that earlier took it past 960 by March. The network covers roughly 300 cities.
Shop-floor impact is immediate: a Zudio till in a Tier-2 mall now moves higher weekly inventory turns at sub-₹999 price points, forcing nearby multi-brand outlets to match depth or lose footfall on basics and youth wear.
Zudio has crossed 1,000 stores across roughly 300 cities.
The scale squeezes mid-market players such as traditional department stores and slower value rivals while helping Trent’s overall density plans and private-label margins. Westside continues as the premium counterweight.
Watch the festive window through October-November for same-store trends and any fresh city openings disclosed in the next quarterly update.
