Trent value chain hits milestone in 10 years, locking footfall before festive rush for apparel merchants.

Trent Ltd said on 11 September that its value-fashion brand Zudio has crossed 1,000 stores spanning over 300 cities and serving more than 100 million customers since launch in 2016. The Tata enterprise flagged the mark in a regulatory filing as the #ZUDIOMOVEMENT campaign continues.
Zudio now operates past the 1,000-store threshold after rapid additions that earlier took the chain past Westside in count and revenue contribution. Capex per new outlet has stayed in the ₹3-4 crore range for leased formats of 7,000-12,000 sq ft.
Shop-floor impact shows in high-velocity till rings on basic tees and denims that undercut mall peers. A kirana-adjacent Zudio in a tier-2 high street pulls repeat traffic that once went only to local cloth merchants, lifting private-label mix above 20 per cent in non-apparel.
Zudio has crossed the 1,000-store milestone spanning over 300 cities.
The scale squeezes other value players and forces premium formats like Westside to defend share with membership clubs. It helps Trent’s overall footprint, which already exceeds 18 million sq ft across fashion concepts.
Watch the festive window through October-November for same-store growth and any further city additions before the next quarterly filing.
