Tata Group’s Trent Ltd said on 12 September that its value-fashion brand Zudio has crossed 1,000 stores in India. The chain, launched in 2016, now spans over 300 cities and has served more than 100 million customers. As of 30 June 2026 Trent also ran 301 Westside stores plus 29 other lifestyle outlets across more than 18 million sq ft. FY26 revenue stood at ₹19,701 crore.
Zudio crossed the 1,000-store mark after rapid expansion built on affordable fashion propositions. Trent filed the update on Saturday, confirming the network now covers more than 300 cities.
On the shop floor this means denser competition for every ₹499-₹999 ticket. A Zudio till in a tier-2 high street pulls footfall that once went to local multi-brand or Vishal-type formats, forcing faster inventory turns and sharper private-label pricing.
Zudio has crossed the 1,000-store milestone and now spans over 300 cities.
The move squeezes mid-tier department stores and independent apparel sellers while helping Trent’s overall fashion footprint. Westside remains the large-format anchor; Star grocery sits alongside in some locations.
Watch festive season sell-through and the next quarterly store count. Any acceleration beyond the current pace will show whether value fashion can keep absorbing new cities without margin dilution.
