Trent’s value chain hits decade mark; kiranas and mall landlords feel the footfall pull in tier-2.

Tata Group’s Trent Ltd said on 12 September its value-fashion brand Zudio has crossed 1,000 stores in India, spanning over 300 cities and serving more than 100 million customers since the 2016 launch. A regulatory filing confirmed the milestone. As of 30 June 2026 Trent also ran 301 Westside stores and 29 other lifestyle outlets over 18 million sq ft. FY26 revenue stood at ₹19,701 crore.
Zudio crossed the 1,000-store mark roughly a decade after launch, with the network now in more than 300 cities. Trent flagged the rapid build-out of affordable fashion as the driver.
On the shop floor the format packs high-turn apparel into 7,000-12,000 sq ft boxes that undercut mall peers on price. A till in a tier-2 high street now rings more baskets of ₹500-600 tickets, squeezing local multi-brand outlets that cannot match the refresh speed.
Zudio has crossed the 1,000-store milestone spanning over 300 cities.
The scale helps Trent’s overall fashion footprint and pressures rivals such as Reliance’s Yousta and Shoppers Stop’s Intune on real-estate bids. It also lifts landlord occupancy in secondary cities where organised fashion was thin.
Watch the next festive window and any Q2 store-addition update in the coming filing cycle for signs the pace holds past 1,000.
