Tata Group’s Trent Ltd said on 12 September its Zudio chain has crossed 1,000 stores spanning over 300 cities and served more than 100 million customers since the 2016 launch. The value-fashion format drove most of the recent additions, with the bulk in Tier-II and Tier-III markets. Trent’s fashion footprint stood at over 18 million sq ft as of June 2026.
Zudio crossed the 1,000-store mark, now present in more than 300 cities after rapid openings that included heavy Tier-II and III focus. Trent’s filing noted the brand has served over 100 million customers in ten years while Westside held 301 stores at end-June.
Shop-floor managers in smaller cities now face denser competition on the ₹499-999 rack. A typical Zudio outlet of 7,000-10,000 sq ft refreshes weekly and keeps private-label mix high, forcing local multi-brand stores to match price points or lose footfall at the entrance till.
Zudio now spans over 300 cities after crossing 1,000 stores.
The pace squeezes pure-play value peers such as V-Mart and Reliance’s Yousta while helping mall landlords fill larger formats. It also lifts Trent’s overall revenue run-rate, which hit ₹19,701 crore in FY26.
Watch the next round of store openings through the festive window and any Q2 filing update on same-store sales density as the network matures beyond the 1,000 mark.
