Tata-owned Trent’s Zudio has expanded past 800 stores across India and the UAE, selling an average 220 T-shirts, 60 denims and hundreds of beauty items every minute in 2025. FY25 revenue for the brand rose 27 per cent to ₹4,291 crore, nearly half of Trent’s topline, with Q2 updates showing continued store-led growth.
Zudio’s network now exceeds 800 outlets, many in high-street and residential catchments rather than premium malls. Stores average 7,000-12,000 sq ft and break even inside 18 months on high throughput and weekly inventory turns.
On the shop floor this means faster replenishment cycles and lower average selling prices that pull traffic from unorganised apparel sellers. A typical till rings up multiple sub-₹999 baskets daily, squeezing the margin of neighbouring multi-brand outlets that cannot match the volume.
Zudio sells hundreds of units every minute without heavy e-commerce spend.
Global fast-fashion players such as Zara and H&M still trail this store count in India. Local value peers like V-Mart face direct pressure on footfall in Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns where Zudio has densified.
Watch the next festive window through mid-November and Trent’s full Q2 filing for like-for-like sales and further store openings beyond the 1,000-mark already flagged earlier this month.
